We Specialize In The Transformative Work of Processing Trauma
At the heart of our work is a trauma-informed and healing-centered approach, recognizing that every individual’s journey is unique and influenced by past experiences. Trauma can deeply impact emotional, psychological, and physical well-being, which is why we prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental space for healing. We understand the importance of fostering an environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
We are dedicated to providing compassionate and expert support for survivors of sexual violence and abuse, particularly those experiencing Rape Trauma Syndrome (RTS) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). We recognize the profound and lasting impact that sexual violence can have on an individual’s mental, emotional, and physical health, and we are dedicated to creating a space where survivors can feel safe and empowered on their healing journey.
Rape Trauma Syndrome (RTS) is a specific form of PTSD that many survivors of sexual assault experience. It can manifest as overwhelming anxiety, depression, flashbacks, dissociation, and feelings of guilt or shame. Survivors may also struggle with trusting others, setting boundaries, or feeling comfortable in their bodies. Our trauma-informed approach acknowledges these complex layers of emotional pain and confusion, helping survivors make sense of their experiences and regain a sense of control over their lives.
In supporting those with PTSD, we integrate trauma-sensitive practices that gently guide individuals through the process of healing without re-traumatization. Our work focuses on fostering safety, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and reducing symptoms like hypervigilance, intrusive thoughts, and avoidance. We tailor therapeutic interventions to meet each person where they are, whether they are just beginning to unpack their trauma or have been managing its effects for years.
With a healing-centered approach, we focus on not only addressing the trauma but also nurturing the survivor’s sense of self, dignity, and potential for growth. We offer a wide range of therapeutic modalities, such as somatic practices, art therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness techniques, to help survivors process their trauma, reconnect with their bodies, and regain trust in themselves and the world around them.
Our mission is to provide a compassionate, trust-filled space where survivors of sexual violence can process their experiences, build resilience, and rediscover their inner strength. We are committed to walking alongside each client on their path to healing, empowering them to reclaim their lives from the effects of trauma and embrace a future filled with hope and possibility.
Individual Therapy
Our practice is grounded in the development of a collaborative therapeutic alliance—a partnership built on trust, mutual respect, and open communication. Together, we create a space where brave exploration can take place, allowing clients to engage in trauma processing and develop meaningful coping skills. This person-to-person relationship nurtures growth and healing at a pace that feels right for each individual.
Through this alliance, clients are empowered to confront past wounds, build resilience, and reclaim their strength, knowing they are fully supported. We believe in the transformative power of trust-filled, trauma-sensitive therapy that honors each person’s story and helps them move toward wholeness.
"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."
